This a fantastic introduction to the wonderful series TRACES. It's funny at some points with sarcastic humor and sometimes it's dead serious. It's a perfect combination for a fantastic book. It was so good I couldn't put it down, I just had to find out what was going to happen next. XD

Lost Bullet
Rating:Malcom Rose novels

Review::.
This review is going to be on the book Lost bullet by Malcolm Rose. This book is called lost bullet for a special reason and has further connections to the plot. The book has 204 pages with medium sized writing and was published by KINGFISHER in February 2005. Malcolm Rose was born in Coventry, England on 1953. Most of his hobbies are science, sport, music, hill walking. I had read this book because a friend of mine had recommended the first book in the series so I had to read the other book. I now really like the author and I love reading books based on crime or mystery.
The books genre is crime and mystery. This book is set in a futuristic place where technology controls everything and the authorities control your future at the age of five. The north of England is a slum while the south is rich. This particular book has been set in London. This is based on a forensic investigator Luke Harding and his robot Malc; these two are sent to London to solve a crime case. There is a lot of racial discrimination and the church believes anyone white is a mistake from good. Luke finds a dead woman with no bullet, calling the killer lost bullet and then he finds the marriage committee dead, while dealing with these things he also deals with the fact that he can’t marry the girl he loves.
There are two main characters in this book Luke and Malc. Luke is an investigator that investigates the crimes in this book. He is very important to the story as he is the one that solves the cases. He apparently loves pomegranates and running, the author has these favorites too and has displayed them through his characters. Malc is the robot in this book and has the duty of keeping an eye for Luke, he is the one that can do scans for anything and stores data on a case, and he also helps in analyzing crime scenes. The author sort of puts him like a companion to Luke. The author has used the technique of personification to this character not only by its actions but by the way he writes, instead of writing MALC it calls it Malc showing us that it is sort of human. The author has based this book on science as it is one of his likes.
There are many other characters in the book such as Jade, this is the girl that gives Luke all his music and she and Luke love each other. Owen is another critical character in the book as he is the one that helps Luke catch the killer. Georgia Bowie is the girl that Luke is about to be married to. There are many other side characters that are linked to the big church.
Concluding this review I would like to say that this was a great book and it really pleased my appetite. The reason I really liked this book was that it kept me in suspense to who the killer was. I also liked the way Rose had laid the plot out and their was a bit of humor in the book. The only problem would be that inexperienced readers would find it hard to understand because the plot is a bit complex. I would really recommend this book to others as it is a very enjoyable read.
